This book is slightly different from the rest. BAM author, Katie Baten, has a background in biology and grew up near the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. She has a passion for marine life and any aquatic inhabitants. BAM and the Aquarium is a collaboration with the Shreveport Aquarium. We were able to speak to the lead biologist, who discussed many of the aquatic life and how they chose certain creatures for our very own aquarium. We explore marine biology in a kid-friendly way to spark inspiration and excitement for this necessary field. We hope you and your family enjoy this book as much as we had fun making it!
